UNIVERSITY DONATES COMPUTER UNITS

In pursuit of the program of the university for Computer Literacy and Earth Stewardship, the University Community Development Office (UCDO) donated 20 computer sets to three Catholic Schools in Central Negros namely: Pax Catholic Academy (PCA), La Carlota City – 10 sets;  St. Michael Academy of Pontevedra, Inc. (SMAPI) – 5 sets; and Our Lady of Pillar Academy – Bago, Inc. (OLPA-BI) – 5 sets last April 13,2013.   The group was led by Rev. Fr. Cornelio Moral, OAR, Mrs. Mely Flores and Mariano Antenor(ITRD). Other participants were:  Ginalyn Libosada(ITRD);  Marcelo Piornato(ITRD); Arnel de la Cruz(ITRD); Nimrod Ferrer (ITRD); Fernando Flores (CAS); Armando Villanueva (Maintenance); Jenalyn Martir(Grade School); Florian Adolfo(IMC); Rosejean Contrevida (CBA) and Fritz Palma(SDPC).  Jeffrey Feril, Gelyn Subayo; Silverio Gane; Jerson Sebanta and Adrian Paul Niepes were also present during the activity.

HOLY WEDNESDAY RECOLLECTION

As part of the Strategic planning ,   Administrators, employees and READS attended the Recollection given by Rev. Fr. Arnold Deletina at the Oratory last March 27.  It was a well attended affair.  Father President paralleled the activity  to his “Hamburger sandwich” story.  Fr. Gabinete thanked Fr. UNO-R EMPLOYEES FINISH GRADUATE STUDIES

10 employees of the university finished their graduate studies last March 23.  They are: Jasmin Parreño, PhD in Psychology;   Chona Mascuñana, PhD in Educational Management;   Roy Basa, PhD in Educational Management; Cristina Su-ay , Rowena Pateño, Dara Soriano,  Bismark Peñascoza, Masters in Business Administration; Jodelyn Guillen, MSCS;  Glenn Salve and Wesley Espinosa from the College of Law.

 
UNO-R HOLDS INSTITUTIONAL PLANNING

 

Lay and Religious Administrators, Department Heads attended the two-day Planning workshop tagged as “UNO-R@2016: Quo Vadis?” at the President’s Hall March 25 – 27.  The day started with the presentation of the year-long program of activities. The different K+12 Transition Teams made their reports and presented their plans in preparation for the K+12.    RPDO Director, Dr. Roy John de la Torre was the coordinator of the activity.  The President’s Office and the VP – Academics were the sponsors of the activity.  The workshop was compared by Fr. RAINS BLESS BATCH 2013 DURING 67TH COMMENCEMENT EXCERCISES

After the opening formalities of  67th Commencement Exercises , a heavy downpour started.  This prompted the Graduation Committee to continue the program at the University Gymnasium.  It was a great blessing from heaven for there were no rainfall for the past weeks.  It was seen by others as blessings for Batch 2013.  However, It was very sad to note that many of the graduates left early and not finish the whole graduation program.

 
RBGS AWARDS TOP GRADUATES

The Recoletos de Bacolod Graduate School honored its top graduates during the RBGS Recognition Ceremonies held at the UNO-R Little Theater last March 23 after the Baccalaureate Mass.  The ceremony started with Fr.Jorge Peligro,OAR giving the inspirational message to the honor graduates of RBGS.  Department Chairs:  Dr. Ma. Teresa Lagradilla,  Dr. Evangeline Alo and Dr. Michelle Saplada distributed the certificates to the awardees.  This year’s awardees are:  Ferdinand Amones,MPAG and Joanna Marie Pepito, MBA were given recognition for “Outstanding Project Paper”.
