GRADUATION SCHEDULES @ UNO-R

“Moving- up Ceremony” for the kinder 2 pupils was March 9.  Grade School Mass and Commencement Exercises is March 21 at Oratory, 3:00 PM.  High School Graduation Mass and Ceremony is March 22,at the Oratory (3:30)and Amphitheater (6:00PM).  Baccalaureate Mass at 6 am and College Commencement Exercises is March 23, 3 PM at the Amphitheater.

 
COLLEGE OF NURSING HOLDS OATHTAKING AND CLINICAL GRADUATION

The December 2012 Nursing Licensure Exam passers of the University of Negros Occidental-Recoletos took their oath last March 13, 2013, 9 AM at the Oratory of St. Nicholas of Tolentine.  It  started with the celebration of the Holy Mass with Fr. Abraham Latoza, OAR as main celebrant.  After the Mass, Fr. Emeterio Buñao, OAR, gave the words of welcome and stressed the particular honor and privilege of having the PRC at UNO-R for the first time for the oath taking of the new nurses.  Dir. Lily Ann R. Baldago, PRC Regional Director of the Ilolio Regional Office with  Hon. Marco Antonio Sto. Tomas, member of the Board of Nursing, graced the occasion. Sto. FEMAA GROUNDBREAKING

THE 16TH day of March Is one of the significant days in the history of the UNO-R Faculty Employees Mutual Aid Association, MPC.  It was the groundbreaking ceremony for the construction of the UNO-R FEMAA-MPC Building.  Rev. FR. Walthrode Conde, OAR blessed the area at Lot 2A Amelia Avenue, B.C. UNO-R FEMAA, MPC Chairman Antonio Gargarita gave the Welcome address.  Atty. Arleen Medina gave the rationale of the project while Atty. Erwin Cabarles gave the word of thanks.

 
FR. PRESIDENT TURNS 75

Rev. Fr. Emeterio Buñao, OAR turned 75 years old last March 3, 2013.  The day started with a Harana organized by the HRDO office and SARF.  It was followed by the Eucharistic celebration where Fr. President was the homilist.  A dinner-program was prepared for the Fr. President.  Musical numbers were presented by some employees, READS and students.  Bacolod Bishop Vicente Navarra, D.D. graced the affair.

 
UNO-R HONORS SMMS-VICTORIAS

The University honored St. Mary Mazzarello School in Victorias for producing Ms. Stephanie Joy Guino-o, 9th place in the December 2012 NLE.  Rationale of the award was made by Dr. Carlos Legaspi, Jr. while Fr. Louie Gabinete,OAR read the message of the Fr. President.  Ms. Guino-o shared a message to the students.  Sr. Ernielyn Deypalan, FMA, Principal gave the response and the Closing Remarks.

 
VP-SW/ DSA HONOR OUTSTANDING STUDENT LEADERS

In a simple ceremony held at the HSACC last March 6, 2013,  student leaders were recognized for their significant contributions for Academic year 2012-2013.  Seventeen elected student leaders were given the Service Awards. Meanwhile, John Floyd Abrico;  Bobb Michael Bokingo; Ma. Rizza Montaño; Daisy May Nonato; Krea Villanueva and Suzi Ann Quiñones were Outstanding Student Leaders.   Other student leaders were also given Certificates of Appreciation.  The PR Interns from the Mass Communication Department were also recognized for their unselfish service to the office of the PRO.  The program closed with Fr. Louie Gabinete, OAR thanking and challenging the student leaders to do more.

 
K to 12 ORIENTATION SEMINARS

An Orientation Seminar on Issues and Concerns about the K to 12 Curriculum will be conducted by Director Mildred Garay of DEPEd Region VI on March 09 at the President’s Hall.  The Program will start at 8 in the morning .  This is a program of the Office of the Vice President for Academics in preparation of the K to 12 total implementation come 2016.
