Incoming Officers of the Blue and Gold Alumni Association, Inc. paid a courtesy visit to the Fr. President last February 06. BGAAI President-elect, Dr. Angelus Diamante presented to the Fr. President the line of activities prepared by the present Board. She stressed that Transparency in governance is the underlying principle of her term. Dr. Diamante and the incoming Board of the Directors and officers will sit for two years. Induction is scheduled on February 20, 2013 at the Fr. Cuenca Hall. |

A gathering of 35 Recollect
Augustinian Youth delegates from UNO-R and Talisay Chapter filled
the Sta. Monica retreat House with songs , dances and prayers as
they held their Formation last January 19-20, 2013. With “FAITH” as
the theme, UNO-R RAY President Donson John Sadava, in his Welcome
Remarks, said that “the faith is the most important of our life
because without it prayers will be useless”. University Chaplain,
Rev. Fr. Abraham Latoza, OAR, in his talk, emphasized a “back
to basics approach” on the Christian youth’s faith, through

VP-Academics
Fr. Jorge Peligro, OAR, VP-Student Welfare Fr. Louie Gabinete, OAR,
and University Chaplain Fr. Abraham Latoza, OAR, stomped their
greening legacies inside UNO-R Campus on February 1 with the
planting of premium and rare Philippine tree seedlings - Igem,
Amugis, and Almaciga.
Fr. Peligro’s
Igem (Dacrycarpus imbricatus) and Fr. Latoza’s Amugis
(Koordersiodendron pinnatum) were planted as replacements of the
seedlings which died because of snail infestations. On the

The College of Nursing held its 9th Capping and Candlelighting Ceremony last January 12, 2013 at the Oratory of St. Nicholas of Tolentino. The Concelebrated Mass was presided by Rev. Fr. President. Lighting of the Nightingales’ Lamp was led by Dean Shiela Arnibal and was followed by the blessing of the nurses’ caps and lamps by Rev. Fr. Jorge Peligro, OAR. Imposition of the caps for the 13 2nd year students was done by Dean Arnibal. Gracing the affair was the General Superior of the Siervas de Maria Ministras de los Infermos, Mo. Alfonza Bellido.
