General Objective:

The College of Engineering aims to provide well – rounded education necessary to produce engineers competent in their specialized fields to anticipate and meet the needs of the region and the country, through a balanced program of instruction and research in both the fundamentals and applied areas of knowledge in keeping with the national goal of economic self-sufficiency through technical development.



Specific Objectives:

  • Provide a comprehensive and flexible curricula which prepares for specific career positions and designed to meet local as well as national needs.
  • Provide a vigorous college faculty and promote its continuous growth and efficiency.
  • Adopt a realistic system of admission designed to encourage students with the right attitudes and aptitudes to pursue careers in engineering.
  • Create a democratic intellectual atmosphere conductive to learning.
  • Plan for the opening of a graduate school engineering.
  • Take an active interest in the professional growth of the graduates.
  • Provide community services and devise extension programs.
  • Develop capabilities in research in the various fields of engineering relevant to local needs.
